Purpose

Purpose

The purpose of this project is to provide the Grata Fund with the requisite tools and digital infrastructure required to support their work in challenging unjust laws and government decisions via public interest cases.

In order to achieve this, we will design and develop a renewed digital platform for the Grata Fund, geared towards engaging and informing their supporters. Code Nation will deliver a new website to:

  • Attract new supporters, including subscribers and donors
  • Share information about the work of the Grata Fund
  • Simplify the process for content updates and enable your team to easily create, edit and customise pages through a user-friendly CMS
  • Communicate about Grata Fund cases and keep supporters up-to-date
  • Integrate with social media and email communications to facilitate greater sharing of the Grata Fund’s work and achievements
  • Lower barriers to action through ease of navigation and use
  • Display complex information in an appealing and engaging way
  • Promote the Grata Fund and its ongoing projects
  • Support access across desktop, tablet and mobile devices

We will create a custom site design and provide all necessary iterations to the design mockups in order to ensure that the website style and layout best serves the Grata Fund’s unique needs.

Our team will ensure that your new site design will observe all guidelines identified in the brief and any existing style documents. Additionally, all design choices will be informed by the full extent of available functions offered through the NationBuilder community organising system.

The result will be a site created specifically for your objectives, underpinned by your unique organisational goals and enhanced by the best in digital design:

  • Custom header navigation with support for all devices, including touch

    This section will highlight the important contributions the Grata Fund is making through public interest litigation and share information regarding active cases to keep supporters up-to-date. It will also promote the different ways supporters can be involved in those achievements, emphasising the power of the Grata Fund's work through a stream of latest cases and actions, coupled with detailed pages explaining individual cases.

    4. Manage Subscribers and Signups

    Ensure your supporters are easily able to subscribe for updates through an optimised signup process. We will build a subscription process to capture relevant data from your supporters for easy use through NationBuilder's native bulk email toolset. The Grata Fund's optimised signup / subscription process will include:

    • A signup form prominent on your new homepage, in addition to a dedicated signup / subscription page
    • Custom landing page and thank you / success notifications
    • Use of social proof to encourage signup (optional)
    • A subscription management page for supporters to subscribe for updates about individual cases.
    • Automatic data segmentation based on user responses (e.g. regarding specific Grata Fund cases or interests)
    • Prompts for social share or other actions in line with the Grata Fund's goals
    • Full support for custom data collection and fields
    • Increased depth of social media integration through optimised sharing / promotion
    • Allow individuals to show their support by offering a paid membership plan that encourages ongoing donations (optional)

    We will leverage NationBuilder's donation page type to develop a custom staged donation process with support for various fundraising initiatives, including recurring donations, paid membership programs and case-specific donation drives.

    A) Donation Pages

    • Staged donation process designed to maximise conversions
    • Custom landing pages (where a supporter is redirected after donating)
    • Support for one-off, monthly, or instalment payments
    • Flexibility to integrate with multiple payment processors. We can provide advice on the best fit for your needs, for example a mix of Stripe (to host the complete donation process directly on your website) and PayPal Express (to enable monthly donations at reduced rates).

    B) Project-Specific Asks

    • Donation pages can be easily replicated to reflect particular asks
    • Custom progress bars encourage support towards a visible goal
    • Time-based appeals can be created to encourage support through urgency as specific moments arise.

    C) Paid Membership Integration (optional)

    The various donation pages could each be configured to match a corresponding level of any desired paid membership program. As part of this process, reminder emails could be automated to alert supporters as their membership nears expiration. If this is of interest, we can discuss your specific needs and ensure you're getting the most out of NationBuilder's membership feature (only available on NationBuilder's "organisation" plan).

    All pricing based on the original scope of work, as detailed in this proposal.

    Fine Print

    Costs exclude website hosting and domain fees; NationBuilder monthly pricing; image licensing fees; and ongoing technical support.

    Payment will be made in two instalments, 50% upon commencement and 50% upon final project delivery.

    Work outside or beyond the scope of this proposal will be charged at our standard hourly rate. The client will be advised and asked to approve any such additional hours.
